Assessments
Connemara offers a number of different types of specialised assessments, which are administered by accredited experts.
Assessments can take place at different times, in different ways and for different reasons:
-
Pre and post-assessment of delegates which use validated instruments to determine beliefs, attributes and leadership capability. This information is often available as part of a corporate performance management process.
-
Assessment to determine whether or not delegates can illustrate competence in the outcomes defined for each module. This type of assessment is required in order to qualify for a unit standard as part of an NQF-accredited National Certificate. Connemara is an Accredited Provider registered at the Service SETA ETQA (SETQAA). Programmes, modules and short courses can be linked to unit standards and we offer the services of NQF-accredited assessors and moderators. Companies that comply with NQF requirements such as submission of Workplace Skills Plans can claim rebates on services provided by us, and delegates can earn unit standards for successfully completed modules or programmes.
- Our accreditation number is 0419.
In deciding on an assessment strategy, a company needs to consider the funds available for assessment vs. the potential benefits related to SETA rebates, the personal developmental objectives of the delegates, and company objectives. We work with our clients to provide them with the information required to make an informed decision.
An assessment to determine whether candidates have met the criteria is set by GIBS, our business school partner for over a decade, and qualifies delegates for a Certificate of Successful Completion which is underwritten by GIBS and the University of Pretoria. Action learning project assessments form the basis for this kind of assessment.
